Turkey's vice president became ill on live television

Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay felt ill live on air.

The politician was unable to finish his speech at a cybersecurity conference. The footage shows him pausing and breathing heavily during his speech. That’s when doctors came to the stage and dragged him away.

According to CNN Turk, Oktay’s blood pressure dropped. The politician was quickly examined and given first aid, but was not hospitalized. The vice president returned to the stage and thanked the audience for their understanding. He suggested that insomnia and overwork could have been the cause of his deteriorating health.

In March 2020, Dutch minister Bruno Breines fainted while discussing the coronavirus. He quickly regained consciousness, drank water, and then left the meeting room.
