Two largest pizza chains went bankrupt in the USA

Two giant chains of fast food restaurants Wendy`s and Pizza Hut filed for bankruptcy.

NPC International, the operator of 1,200 Pizza Hut outlets and nearly 400 Wendy`s restaurants in the United States, has filed for ruin protection. Owners of the franchise experienced a number of difficulties due to the coronavirus, which led to an increase in debt to $ 1 billion.

NPC restaurants will continue to operate while the company undergoes a restructuring process. The NPC employs about 40,000 people in 6,500 establishments across 27 states.
