Two people who received the coronavirus vaccine died in Norway

Now it’s up to the country’s authorities to find out if there is a link between the vaccination and the deaths.

The Norwegian Medical Agency has reported the deaths of two residents of a nursing home who received the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTEch. Now the authorities intend to find out whether the deaths were caused by the vaccine.

The age of the dead is not specified, as well as when exactly they were vaccinated against COVID-19. It is noted that the data on the basis of which the vaccine was approved for emergency use do not include the results of studies on people aged 85 years and older.

The health agency also added that about 400 people die in nursing homes every week in the country. Therefore, it is too early to talk about the relationship between vaccination and death – this issue will be studied.

This is not the first report of COVID-19 vaccinated people dying. Last week, Switzerland reported the death of a 91-year-old woman who had previously been vaccinated against the coronavirus, but the connection between the two events was not confirmed then.

In a country of just over five million people, fewer than 52,000 COVID-19 patients have been found at any one time, and fewer than 500 of them have died. According to the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Norway has the fourth-highest number of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people in the EU.
