U.S. has “seized” Iran’s state-run media outlets

U.S. law enforcement agencies have seized control over the websites of Iranian state news sites.

The websites in question were Press TV and Al-Alam, as well as the TV channel Al-Masirah.

In the evening of June 22, the relevant information was made public on these websites.

When trying to access the site, a page was displayed stating that it had been “taken over by the United States government” with a reference to US sanctions laws. The letter was accompanied by the seals of the FBI and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
