U.S. imposes new sanctions against Russia

US Department of Commerce has imposed new sanctions against Russia.

The restrictive measures will be imposed on Russian companies Cosmos Komplekt and Sovtest Komplekt, as well as Russian citizen Ilyas Sabirov.

The expanded list includes 60 legal entities and individuals from China, Pakistan, Malta, UAE and a number of European countries. In total there are 78 persons on it. The new restrictions were imposed against those allegedly involved in activities “that contradict the national security or international policy interests of the United States.

On December 14, the United States threatened countries that buy weapons from Russia with the risk of being under sanctions. Thus, they should avoid further purchases of Russian military equipment.
