US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will make a four-day working trip to Latin America, TASS reports.
Pompeo will visit Suriname, Guyana, Brazil and Colombia. He will meet with the leaders of the countries and discuss current political and economic issues. The main topic on the agenda of the meetings will also be the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection in the region and restarting economies after the pandemic.
In addition, Pompeo will meet with Colombian President Ivan Duque, discuss relations with neighboring Venezuela and the threats posed by drug trafficking.
Earlier it became known that Pompeo announced the restoration of US sanctions against Iran from September 20.
