The United States of America lifted sanctions against three former Iranian government officials and two companies involved in the oil trade.
This was reported by the press service of the U.S. Treasury Department.
“Washington is lifting sanctions on three former Iranian government officials and two companies previously involved in the purchase, acquisition, sale, transportation or placement on the market of Iranian petrochemical products,” the statement said.
The previously imposed restraints were lifted because a change in the “conduct or status” of these individuals or entities was confirmed.
“This demonstrates the U.S. government’s commitment to lifting sanctions if there is a change in conduct or status,” the Treasury Department stressed.
