US Congress wants to limit Pentagon overseas spending

The US Congress is arguing about military spending. The Pentagon’s draft budget for next year sparked heated debate.

Democrats want to allocate money for the armament of Ukraine: Kiev is ready to allocate 25 million dollars.

Among the unpleasant surprises for the US Department of Defense is the proposal to ban spending money on establishing control over oil fields in Syria and Iraq, Rossiya 24 television channel reported.

Lawmakers also recommend extending the ban on the transfer of fifth-generation American fighters to Turkey.

The theme of racism was not ignored: a million dollars could go for the renaming of army objects that bear historical names. Indeed, among them are often found the names of generals from the Civil War of the North and South.

In general, the military budget provides for the allocation of 694.6 billion dollars for defense purposes.
