US forces destroy two al Qaeda leaders in Syrian Idlib

The US military announced the successful liquidation of two leaders of the al-Qaeda terrorist organization (banned in Russia) in Idlib province in northwestern Syria. Both field commanders of the Syrian Alkaidites were destroyed last Sunday, June 14, by a drone strike on the militants’ car. According to American sources, the strike was carried out by the R9X missile (a modification of the Hellfire air-to-ground missile for drones), capable of delivering ultra-precise strikes to minimize civilian casualties.

Islamic resources have confirmed that the liquidated ones were indeed Al Qaeda’s key emissaries in Syria. These are Jordanian citizens Abu al-Qassam al-Urduni and Bilal al-Sanaani.

Abu al-Kassam al-Urduni (also known as Khaled al-Aruri) was a “veteran” of a terrorist organization that has been involved in various conflicts since the 1990s and has been the closest ally of the famous jihadist of Jordanian origin, Musaba al-Zarqawi.

Both ringleaders oversaw Al-Qaida’s ties with terrorist groups in the Idlib de-escalation zone, including those belonging to the Islamist alliance Khayyat Tahrir al-Sham (KhTSH, the leading role in its composition is the banned terrorist group Jebhat Fath Ash Sham “, the former” Jebhat al-Nusra “). The leading al-Qaeda group in Syria is Huras ad-Din.
Meanwhile, according to military sources, US forces in the region continue to deploy additional forces from Iraq to northeast Syria. On June 15, a large convoy of the American coalition against the terrorist group Daesh (Islamic State, ISIS, ISIS – banned in Russia) entered the Kurdish regions of the Syrian province of Hasake through the Al-Walid border crossing from Iraqi territory. The convoy consisted of approximately 200 trucks with fuel, military and logistic equipment. In Syria, the column was divided. One part of it went to American bases in the Kamyshly region (Hasake province), the second – to the strongholds of the US Armed Forces at oil fields in the province of Deir ez-Zor.

According to eyewitnesses, the majority of the American supply column was tilt trucks and containers with containers, the Military Observer portal notes.

Recently, Russian and US military are building up forces in the Syrian province of Hasake. The patrol routes of the Russian military police often cross the conventional American control zone and coincide with the routes of movement of the US Armed Forces. In this regard, conflict situations periodically arise on the roads in the north-eastern part of the Arab Republic.
