In the city of Toledo, Ohio, USA a lightning strike struck directly into a mural dedicated to George Floyd. The strike was so strong that the graffiti with Floyd, which had existed for the whole year, was destroyed.
Law enforcement officers promptly arrived on the scene and taped off the area and began dismantling the burnt bricks.
A preliminary inspection of the building showed that the structure of the house was not damaged, the lightning struck only a fragment of the wall with the image of George Floyd.
Toledo’s mayor’s office has already said that officials were “heartbroken” when they learned of the incident. The mayor’s office promised to find a new location for the graffiti in Floyd’s honor.
