Victoria`s Secret is wrapping up work with its world-renowned angel supermodels. Priyanka Chopra Jonas Megan Rapinoe and other famous women will join the brand’s campaign against the objectification of women.
Reportedly, the lingerie and comfortwear company will no longer work with models who for years have taken to the runway in luxurious outfits with feathers and rhinestones. Instead, Victoria`s Secret has launched a campaign featuring famous women known for their accomplishments, not their body shape.
Soccer star Megan Rapinoe, freestyle skier Eileen Gu, model and lawyer Paloma Essler, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, transgender model Valentina Sampaio, model and refugee from South Sudan Adut Akech and photographer Amanda de Cadenet are among those who will represent the brand in the new campaign.
The management made this decision because women around the world are actively fighting against sexism, objectification and exploitation of women, including in fashion.
