The 5.4-inch layout is slightly smaller than the iPhone 7, but larger than the iPhone SE
Apple is preparing to release in the fall the line of flagship smartphones iPhone 12. In the meantime, the network continues to accumulate information about future updates.
MacRumors theme resource has published a selection of live photos that clearly compare the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 with the original iPhone SE and iPhone 7.
Note that the photo shows the layout of the iPhone 12, and not a working smartphone. Such models are usually used by manufacturers and sellers of covers and other accessories.
In the appearance of the iPhone 12, features of the cult design of the iPhone 4 or the new iPad Pro appeared – the design has become more angular, the front and back panels are flat without rounding to the side frame.
Photos provided by one of the participants in the MacRumors forum under the nickname iZac. In the discussion thread, iZac and other users see the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 as a possible replacement for the original 4-inch iPhone SE, as a device that is convenient to operate with one hand.
The iPhone 12 is 6 mm wider than the iPhone SE and 3 mm narrower than the iPhone 7. Also, the iPhone 12 is about 1 mm thicker than the iPhone SE. iZac noted that fingers and a brush have to be “stretched” a bit more to grip the iPhone 12 than for the iPhone SE, but it’s much easier to hold and control the iPhone 12 than the iPhone 7 due to its angular design and a flat frame.
According to rumors, the new line of Apple smartphones expected a 5.4-inch iPhone, 6.7-inch iPhone and two 6.1-inch iPhone.
Note that the organization of the camera in this layout is contrary to past leaks. Earlier it was reported that a triple camera is provided only for two older versions of the iPhone 12 Pro with a diagonal of 6.1 and 6.7 inches. At the same time, the dual was expected in the base iPhone 12 in two variations – with a diagonal of 5.4 and 6.1 inches.
