Weddings and funeral ceremonies to be banned in Iran during the quarantine

In Iran, during the COVID-19 pandemic, all types of public events were banned, including weddings and funeral ceremonies.

This was stated by President Hassan Rouhani.

Nevertheless, the president added that small weddings or funerals with a small number of loved ones are acceptable.

He also said that the country could suspend the opening campaign.

He urged to observe the mask regime and strictly control it.

Separately, Rouhani noted that industrial and service sector institutions may operate subject to prior reservation.
