Hollywood will make its first feature-length film about the sex scandal involving film producer Harvey Weinstein, who was sentenced to 23 years in prison, and it will be called She Said.
According to reports, Universal Pictures Studios said that production of the film will begin this summer.
Maria Schrader will direct. The film will be based on the book of the same name about the New York Times investigation into reports of sexual harassment by Weinstein. “She Said” was written by journalists Megan Toohey and Jody Cantor, who later won a Pulitzer Prize.
The plot of the first feature film about the movie producer will be based on lawsuits against Weinstein. A release date has not yet been announced.
