Participants in coronavirus vaccine trials reported experiencing a number of side effects.
Symptoms include fatigue, fever and headaches, according to an interview with a group of participants in a phase 3 clinical trial of Moderna in the United States. It is important to note that all volunteers who have experienced these symptoms say that all sensations go away after a day. Scientists see these side effects as an acceptable compromise in exchange for protection from the coronavirus.
The successful and safe vaccine is expected to be ready for use in the US by the end of this year. Around the world, several dozen candidate vaccines are currently being tested on humans, four in the United States. These are vaccines from AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson.
