The launch of Overwatch 2 is nearer than ever before and will bring new characters and a redesigned battle pass. But when can you begin playing?
Many changes are expected to accompany Overwatch 2, especially since it’s almostfree-to-play and you’ll be able see everything new in just a couple of hours.

Like Overwatch 1, which is no more available, Overwatch 2 will be available for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
You’re likely to have had the option of pre-downloading Overwatch 2, if you’re an avid PC player or you bought this Watchpoint pack, since the option became available on September 30, the day before Friday’s release.
If you’re an Xbox gamer will be able to download the game for free just a few hours prior to its launch. The option will be accessible to new and last Gen consoles at five o’clock BST in October 4.
