WHO advocates a ban on alcohol for women

The World Health Organization wants to prohibit women of childbearing age to drink alcohol.

This initiative is outlined in the draft of the Global Plan of Action to Combat Alcohol in 2022-2030.

WHO experts believe that countries around the world should raise public awareness about the dangers of alcohol. The organization advises to pay special attention to minors, pregnant women and women of childbearing age.

According to experts, alcohol is harmful to the development of the fetus. Moreover, it can lead to various diseases and disorders in children, to problems with social behavior and learning ability. Among other things, alcoholic beverages negatively affect the physical and psychological state of the mother.
